About Pickity Place:
Since 1786 this quaint little red cottage has graced the hills of southern New Hampshire, seemingly untouched by time. The enchanting cottage was chosen by Elizabeth Orton Jones as the model for her illustrations in Little Red Riding Hood (Little Golden Books, 1948). Today it is a mecca for gardeners, foodies and anyone looking for inspiration and relaxation.

Their five-course creative herbal cuisine draws guests from all over New England and beyond thyme after thyme. From start to finish their luncheon courses feature fresh herbs and edible flowers harvested daily from their very own culinary garden.
We will be dining at 11:30am, the first seating of the day.
Their menu changes monthly. The menu for July is as follows( but is always subject to change) :
1. DIP: New England Vegetable, served with crackers
2. SOUP: Chilled Canteloupe with Basil
3. SALAD: Red, White & Blue Potato
BREAD: Mulit-grain Ciabatta
4. ENTREE: Choice of Beef Chimichurri with Spanish Rice -OR- Three Cheese Garden Vegetable Arancini
5. DESSERT: Tre Leches Cake with Summer Berries

Beverage options include: Spice Tea, Raspberry-Peach Tea, Herbal Teas, Coffee, Mocha Coffee and Lavender Lemonade.

Fee is ALL-INCLUSIVE: transportation, five-course luncheon, beverage, tax and 20% gratuity.

We will have a short time before our luncheon as well as time afterward to explore.

In their Little Red Riding Hood Museum you'll find the big bad wolf with his toothy grin tucked into Grandma's bed, waiting for little red.

Their main gift shop is filled from floor to beam with unique gift ideas along with hundreds of herbs, herbal blends, teas, spices, giftware and jewelry.

Visit their many themed gardens and beautiful grounds. Their Old English gardens are bursting with flowers and fresh herbs. In season, you'll find just about any herb, perennial or scented geranium you can imagine, plus many other varieties that will inspire you!

Their greenhouse carries a wide variety of fresh herbs, fairy plants, annuals and perennials. Whether you are a serious gardener or just starting out, they've got you covered!

Bus departs at 10:30 am from Jaffrey Parks & Recreation Department, 31 Howard Hill Rd., Jaffrey.
Bus returns by 3:00pm.

Registration deadline is: 7/03/25 at noon.

*The JPRD Refund Policy is different than usual for this trip because the trip needs to be paid in full to the restaurant two weeks in advance. Therefore, refunds will not be given for cancellations requested after 7/3/25 at 12pm.
Processing/convenience fees for credit card payments will not be refunded.
Refunds will be made in the form of a check and may take up to two weeks to be processed and mailed.
